Running Is Not Always Easy

The moral of yesterday’s run was “Running is not always easy, but it’s always fun“… or at least it always has the potential to be fun.

I made yesterday’s run a sightseeing trip and I got mini-lost and took pics along the way, saw some things I’d never seen before and just had  a good time.

Ran 2.9 miles in 32 mins . Decided to try my EnergyBits sample and I swallowed 3 of the tabs before the run.

The weather was great. It was snowing in the morning when I woke up but by lunchtime, the temperature had gotten up to 47 degrees and it was sunny so I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to run in warm weather.

And I don’t know if it was the weather, the adrenaline or the extra energy from the EnergyBits but it sure was a FUN RUN.

Today is the first day of April and I’m going to try a modified streak. Run every day, 6 days a week (I don’t run on Saturday because of Sabbath observance). I’m calling it the #MODRUN – MODified RUNning.

Wanna take the #MODRUN with me?Just go for a daily run. Any distance, any time, everyday. Just RUN!

I’ll be posting my runs on Instgram and on Twitter so look for the #MODRUN hashtag. I’ll be using the Runkeeper app to record my runs so you can check me out there too. Come running and join in the fun!

And always, Run Wright!

One thing I’ve had to learn is that it is okay to walk too – and it doesn’t mean a failed run! Turning it into a sightseeing trip helps me too – the little breaks I take to take photos makes the whole run go better!

Lessons learned. It’s not just about the time, it’s about the experience.

I did a sightseeing run yesterday too – we must have been inspired by Spring 🙂
