Since I started embracing the G-BOMBS, (Greens, Beans, Onions, Mushrooms and Seeds), my meals have gotten much simpler and healthier.
I wanted to give myself time to adjust but the salad idea is very enticing.
Here are a few of the salads I’ve eaten in the past few days
Spring mix base, steamed cherry tomatoes, steamed carrot and a Sunshine veggie burger (review on this product coming soon). I added some roasted unsalted sunflower seeds on top and that was Friday’s dinner. One word. Delicious!
For this warm salad, I put a Dr. Praeger veggie burger in a skillet with 1 tablespoon of olive oil and let it get a little sear on both sides then I added baby Bella mushroom slices, halved cherry tomatoes and some split baby carrots. I decided to live a little and add a few croutons, some dried cranberries and a tablespoon of creamy Italian dressing on top. Delicious. Not 100% Nutritarian but better than some of the choices I might have made before.
So this is how my meals have been going this week. I am on a journey to feeling great and being great so I can do even more great things.
The benefit about “The End of Dieting” is that instead of focusing on the things you can’t eat, you focus on the things that you should eat and build meals around them. Instead of focus on not eating dessert, focus on enjoying some great fresh berries. Instead of thinking about the chicken wings that you can’t eat, focus on the red peppers and mushrooms and chia seeds that are just flooding your body with nutrients instead.
Today, we make choices that don’t just taste good, but ARE good.
Eat Right, Live Right, RUNWRIGHT!
