5k Run With A Fast Mile Included

As prompted by my phone, I went out for my morning run and I wanted to get a good run because remember yesterday I only had 15 minutes to run? The forecast was for rain so I just took off down the street and just decided to see where I would get to before I got tired or the rain stopped me.
The Runkeeper app on my phone alerts me at every mile and at my first alert, I was pleasantly surprised to see I had run it in just 8 minutes and 23 seconds.

I kept running because the way to celebrate a running PR is to see if you can top it 😉
I got to Central Park and felt kinda strong so I started the hill and when I stopped at the water fountain to get a gulp of water, the rain started. It wasn’t heavy rain but I didn’t want to get stuck in the rain in the park so I exited the park and just ran back home.
I got about 3.6 miles in today, so a little over a 5K with my first mile being one of my all time fastest miles.
Must be all those vegetables and berries and seeds that I’ve been eating over the last few days.

I love the fresh foods that I can buy so cheap during the summer months. I got a box of raspberries for $1.50 yesterday. $1.50!!! They’re usually $4 or more! Eating well and saving money. I love it!

I tell you, this thing is real – if you Eat Right and Live Right, you can RUNWRIGHT!
This omelette I made after the run was so deliciously tasty and satisfying.

I hope you have a great and active day with lots of good food to eat.

What have you achieved so far this week that you’re proudest of?
