Tales Of A Slow Run In Central Park

Central Park can be a distracting place to run. Every couple of yards, there is something else I want to stop and take a picture of so I can share it with you.
These pictures are why today’s 5K run took almost 40 minutes
A bench by the water with the city as a backdrop. Isn’t this the most idyllic spot you can imagine?

A honest-to-goodness hiking trail smack-dab in the middle of the city

Complete with bird watching opportunities. This was a rare sighting of a bluejay in Central Park.

…and the berries the birds eat.

This kid chasing pigeons. Remember when you used to do this? Ahh, to be a kid again.

Dog walking

This road that just looked like it would lead to somewhere interesting.

But then this runner who just kept going and inspired me to keep running too.

Running selfie at the end of the run.

Awesome scenery. Almost makes you wish you were  part of it.

I do wish you were here. Even just for a few days.
