Running Kids

I don’t have children of my own but I work with kids at church and I have a lot of young people in my life so when I saw this info, I wanted to share it with you for all the kids in your life too.

New York Road Runners (NYRR) is sponsoring FREE running classes for children this summer in Brooklyn’s Prospect Park.

And what does a kid who’s learned to run want to do all the time? They want to run more and show everyone what they can do. So after a summer of running, sign them up for the Youth Jamboree in October …

…. or any of a myriad of races and events that are held here in the city.

Those outside of NYC, will have to do their own research to see what kind of free running events are hosted in your area. And if you can’t find one, be a trailblazer and organize one!

I learned this week that kids don’t just like to run around and play; they like to achieve so urging them to focus that running around into a competitive sport is not such a bad thing.

Eat Right, Live Right, RUNWRIGHT.

What do you think? I'd love to hear your thoughts as well.
