It’s My Party And I’ll Giveaway If I Want To

It’s my birthday. September 5th really is the best day of the year.
All my life, wonderful things have happened on this day. Honest!
My birthday plans are:
Talk to my family (really, that’s the only thing I need on my birthday)
Early morning run.
Go to the church to drop off some clothes I’m donating.
Head downtown to take advantage of birthday gifts. One thing I really love about America is shopper rewards. If you register with stores, in exchange for random snail mail and emails all year, you can get special coupons or free stuff on your birthday.

Cards I plan to redeem today (or soon)
Victoria Secret $10 off
DSW $5 off
Express $40 off
Macys
Pinkberry Free froyo
Starbucks Free drink
Sephora free gift
Godiva free chocolate
Discounted spa treatment.

Dinner with friends to top off the day.

Birthdays are truly special and I plan to enjoy every minute of mine. But as much as I like receiving, I think it’s better to give than to receive.
In honor of my birthday, I am doing a RUNWRIGHT giveaway box of goodies. Since it’s a birthday gift (from me to you), I can’t tell you what’s inside but it will be a great surprise.

In order to be entered for the giveaway, just leave me a comment telling me your favorite way to spend your birthday. All comments will be entered in a random drawing. I’ll announce the winner on Monday so you have until Sunday night to post your comments.
Have a great day. I know I plan to!

  2. Happy Birthday!! Free chocolate & froyo sounds amazing- as does an early morning run πŸ™‚
I’m a September baby too! Mine was on the first, and it was one of the best birthdays I’ve had in recent history. I got to spend a week in Smith Mountain Lake with my family & one of my good friends, we went boating and kayaking, played games, and of course relaxed.

  4. Happy birthday! I didn’t know about that Godiva free chocolate deal, I’ll have to follow up on that in March. You should also try to get over to 16 Handles – they offer a birthday deal, too!

You have to make a min purchase of I think $10 for the year at Godiva and they send you a coupon to use during your birth month. I don’t know if there are any 16 handles around. But I’ll check for next year. I am always looking to up my gift quota πŸ™‚

Do you do active stuff or just hang out and eat? Eating seems to be a popular choice πŸ™‚

I do get a short run in, or if the weather’s nice, we all go on a hike. But we do like to eat, we usually got out for sushi since that’s my favorite. πŸ™‚

Happy birthday to you! My birthday is coming up soon too, so I’ve been thinking a lot about this question. I’m planning on a long run, a walk with my puppy, and finishing the lovely book I’m reading, The Lace Readers.

  12. Happy Birthday! Redeeming a bunch of gift cards is a unique way to spend your birthday that I’ve not thought of before…I like it! Hmm, I guess my favorite way to spend my birthday is with my family, close friends, and my boyfriend. Oh, and there MUST be pie. My favorite dessert!
