Every Moment Counts

At last night’s gym session, (the first in a week, but that’s another issue) my gym-buddy and I were chatting to pass the time on the Arc trainer. We were talking about attending events that we didn’t necessarily want to go to, and agreeing to do things that we didn’t necessarily want to do, but that we I felt we should go to or do just out of obligation.

And she said the thing that I am making my mantra for today. Every moment counts!

What if I lived my life as if every moment counts? There would be no time for procrastinating my life away, no time for making excuses, no time for slogging through boring, mundane just because I think I should. Wouldn’t it be wonderful if, instead, I packed my day with the things that contribute to my overall happiness? If, instead of sitting through something I hate, that I made time for the people I love and the things that I enjoy?

Every moment counts! That simple sentence has inspired me to make some changes in what I planned to do today and I hope it inspires you too.

I’ve been putting off a dream of mine for years and today, I’m going to figure out how to get it done now, not tomorrow, or next year, but now. Because every moment counts!

I have a class that I have been facilitating but I don’t think the students are as committed as they should be. Today, I’ve decided to share this phrase with them and ask them to make a decision, right now, about how they want to proceed. Because every moment counts!

Let me know if this phrase inspires you too and what change you are making to make every moment count. Have a wonderful day.

So true. How different would my life be if I lived every moment as if it counts? All those times I said “no thanks” to outings because of work the next day. Could’ve been the best day ever. We’ll never know. :] // ▲ itsCarmen.com ▲

Hey Carmen. Sorry I never saw that post so I never replied.
True you never know what good opportunities you missed by not going, but you also don’t know what bad you avoided by not going. Bottom line is that you’ll never know what might’ve been so… You have to live with no regrets
I write about no regrets here too https://runwright.net/2015/01/21/what-if/
