Best Of…

A life is made up of lots of little moments – some feel wonderful, some leave us wanting more. But we owe it to ourselves to pluck out the seconds that make our hearts sing and our toes tingle. And treasure them.
Best validation: A 2 year old girl I met just last week, when she saw me, she ran up to me and wrapped her arms around me and smiled. That feeling will last me a long time.
Best meal: Sabbath lunch, complete with a sampler plate, because I love to get just a little taste of everything :-)
Best picture: this picture of me doing the scripture reading for the worship service at church.

Best line I read from the Bible: By grace ye are saved (Ephesians 2:5)
Best thing I heard: My church choir singing "Joy To My Heart" Full disclosure: It really did bring joy to my heart!
Best text message I received: From my landlord on Sunday afternoon, telling me the heat had been fixed and the hot water was back on! Thank God because it's 28 degrees right now.
Best line I read in a novel this weekend: We don't have a future in English because there's no such thing... We like to imagine we can hold it in our hands because that's what led us to believe we were in control but we never could be because the future dies at our touch. (from Ostrich by Matt Greene)
Best relaxation moment: Sitting at my desk making plans for the week ahead - with chocolate

Yes! We should do it! Its getting harder for me to get to the gym in the cold mornings but there are also lots of options for working out at home too so… Lets just do it!

  2. Good luck with your goals this week! I’m glad to hear your heat is back on. My heat went out for a day during a cold patch this year too. It definitely wasn’t the worst time of year for the heat to go out, but it was a bit chilly! 🙂

I had a back-up plan to go to the gym to shower so I’m not sure if it was good or bad that the hot water came back on 🙂
