A life is made up of lots of little moments – some feel wonderful, some leave us wanting more. But we owe it to ourselves to pluck out the seconds that make our hearts sing and our toes tingle. And treasure them.Best validation: A 2 year old girl I met just last week, when she saw me, she ran up to me and wrapped her arms around me and smiled. That feeling will last me a long time.
Best meal: Sabbath lunch, complete with a sampler plate, because I love to get just a little taste of everything :-)
Best line I read from the Bible: By grace ye are saved (Ephesians 2:5)
Best thing I heard: My church choir singing "Joy To My Heart" Full disclosure: It really did bring joy to my heart!
Best text message I received: From my landlord on Sunday afternoon, telling me the heat had been fixed and the hot water was back on! Thank God because it's 28 degrees right now.
Best line I read in a novel this weekend: We don't have a future in English because there's no such thing... We like to imagine we can hold it in our hands because that's what led us to believe we were in control but we never could be because the future dies at our touch. (from Ostrich by Matt Greene)
Best relaxation moment: Sitting at my desk making plans for the week ahead - with chocolate
3 Goals This Week
- Make 2 handmade gifts
- Finish a short story I’m working on
- Exercise for 1 hr, every day.
What was the best part of your weekend? What do you have planned for the week ahead?
