I needed to check out why the home button on my iPhone feels stiff. And I found out that Geniuses don’t always look the part. The guy at Apple’s Genius Bar fixed my iPhone but he also wore sparkly nail polish at work. So not what I expected!

I walked 14,850 steps yesterday, almost doubling my daily average of 7,512. It worked out to about 4 miles. The weather was nice but I also warmed up a bit after I started walking so that’s motivation to walk even when it’s cold outside.

I mailed out some holiday cards. Holiday cards

And I got some mail back –  my first rejection letter from an agent. I could be disappointed but I count it as a success. They say 100 doors will slam in your face before a door finally opens that you can walk through. So 1 down, 99 more to go.

And that was Monday.

What a great perspective. All of out modern day authors report hearing many many NOs before thegot the YES. I’m proud of you.

      Thanks. That means a lot

  2. I was so excited when I received my first rejection from an agent. It felt like a huge milestone and, of course, was expected. 🙂
