Good Riddance Day

How Do I Say Goodbye http://runwright.net… and good riddance to the bad memories!

Today is celebrated as Good Riddance Day. It’s the day to say a happy goodbye to things that clogged up your 2014 experience and that you’re happy to part with in 2015.  In some parts of Latin America, it’s celebrated with a bonfire to burn items that bring bad memories.

But instead of a bonfire, today at midday in Times Square, there will be giant shredders and garbage cans to dump the pink slips and stacks of bills and pictures of someone who made your life miserable. Chuck it all and say good riddance. Details of the event here.

Good Riddance Day http://runwright.netI just saw this on the news and I’m thinking how to quickly pack and transport all the stuff I want to say good riddance to 🙂

What is the one thing you are most looking forward to leaving behind in 2014?

Haha, I like that idea! We just paid off a credit card and I think it would be very fitting to shred a bill from that because I am definitely saying “Good Riddance” to it!

Congratulations on paying off that debt! That’s a great way to go into the new year.
