I don’t have much… but a big hat and a dream… and the memories of a full weekend.
Candlelight communion service at church where I got my heart filled and kept my head well-covered 🙂
I gave gifts to all the kids I work with at church. I didn’t have a big budget for it but I love sharing what I have with those I love 🙂
I had some great food

Sunday was also Good Riddance Day and I thought about things I could get rid of physically and mentally.
Physically: I took a few items out of my closet to prepare a bag for a teenage girl I love who I think would appreciate some new-to-her wears.
The bonus is that I also made room for the new outfits I am expecting in the new year – I got a couple gift cards for Christmas that I plan to use the next time I need some retail therapy.
Mentally: I finished reading Steve Harvey’s Act Like A Success, Think Like A Success and it was a lot of what I expected, but it wasn’t just a book to read about his success strategies, it’s also a workbook to see that the things I need to eliminate from my life so I can start working on my own success. I’ll write a full recap later.
And it seems I’m still on hiatus from the gym but I’ve been walking everywhere. 11,019 steps yesterday.
Small goals this week:
- Review my 2014 goals and make plans for 2015
- Create a vision board
- Write a short story
- Contact 5 agents to get my latest novel published
- Renew my blog domain. I can’t believe it’s been a year already!
What was the best part of your weekend? What do you have planned for the week ahead?

Thanks. I am always writing down weekly goals but the idea of a vision board is new to me and I’m excited about how it can help me focus on where I really want to get to in 2015. What about you? How are you working on your goals?
