It’s going to be a challenge but I’m starting another MODRUN. Today. #MODRUN2015.

I’m looking at the weather forecast this week and thinking I must be crazy.IMG_9575

But I planned that 2015 is the year of yes. And if I don’t start running regularly again today, then when?

The MODRUN (MODRUN = MODified RUNning streak) I did last year was 6 days running, 1 day off each week. And I’d like to do that again and I’m going to #startTODAY

If it gets too cold, or there is snow on the ground, I’ll do my running in the gym but I am planning to log some miles right on the streets of NYC.

I really like the feel of running in cool temps – for me, it’s better than running when it’s hot and muggy outside. But sometimes, cold is too cold. And I have to bundle up.

Like today. I wore 3 layers on top – a tech shirt from a race I did in 2012, a fleece, and when I went downstairs and stood at the door, I came back and put another fleece on. One pair of tights is fine for me. My legs don’t get as cold. I also wore a thin wool scarf around my neck.MODRUN2015 Day 1

Today’s run: 1.5 miles

#MODRUN2015 is on. I might be crazy but I guess I have to find out for myself.

Hope you have a great Sunday.

Anyone else running in cold weather today?

Good for you! You are much braver than I am. I can’t stand running in cold weather, but your post gives me motivation to get or there an at least try.
