You know the song. It’s about thanking the people who’ve helped you get this far. “I dedicate this song – to all the girls I’ve loved before, who’ve traveled in an out my door, I’m glad they came along, I dedicate this song to all the girls I’ve loved.”
It’s important to acknowledge the people who help you get to where you are.
Today on Day 4 of my MODRUN, I ran 2.13 miles in 25 degree weather and it didn’t feel so cold. So I dedicate my accomplishment to the other runner who smiled back and high-fived me as we passed each other on the sidewalk, to the man who was walking with his family and shouted “I see you” and his children laughed, to my Instagram friends who liked my previous MODRUN pictures and encouraged me to share more, to Keiva who sends positive comments on Runkeeper whenever I record an activity, to all the people who read this little blog and leave me positive feedback here and on Bloglovin and on Twitter and Facebook, to my friend who says he’s inspired and is going to run the marathon too, to my running group friends who ask me when we’re getting back together out there, to my family who ask about me and encourage me, and love me…. to all the girls (but not just girls) I’ve loved before.
You all make me do this! Thank you, Thank you, THANK YOU!
Best thing I ate lately was this after-run late-breakfast – blueberry pancakes, tofu sausage, with peanut butter. YUM!
And that’s my morning.
What’s the best part of your day so far?
