Weekend In The City

After church, Sabbath lunch turned into an intense Bible study/discussion with some friends.

Week 3 of MODRUN2015 and a blizzard is predicted to start later today. Once it starts snowing, I’ll be doing my dailies on the treadmill but until then, I’m still enjoying cranking out a couple miles outside.MODRUN http://runwright.net

Last week’s goals were:

  1. Run everyday for MODRUN2015 – Check
  2. Cut down processed carbs (rice, flour, sugar products) to 1 serving per day – Hmmm. not so successful but heading in the right direction. 
  3. Write everyday. Working on a project that I need to finish this week – I wrote everyday but project still in the works. 
  4. Tackle an organizing/storage project – Almost finished
  5. Practice French everyday – Check

Goals this week:

  1. Write everyday. I’m behind on a project I wanted to finish last week so marching double time this week.
  2. Run every day
  3. Plan an event
  4. Finish a craft project
  5. Cut down processed carbs (rice, flour, sugar products) to 1 serving per day
  6. Practice French everyday

    Beet chips!!! WOW!! You’re amazing!! What a great night time snack!! Although I’m not the hugest fan of beets, those look really good and I know they’re so good for you, too!! Way to go!! XOXO

    Beet chips sound like fun. Did you put anything special on them? Bake them?
    I agree with you on Gone Girl. I read the book and almost didn’t finish it because it was so bizarre. I watched the movie a couple of weekends ago and seeing it played out on the television made the whole thing more disturbing.

      For beet chips, I sliced then thinly, spread on a baking sheet with a little coconut oil and sea salt. Bake for about 15 mins, flip and bake for another 15.
      If they are sliced thinly, when they are done, I put them in a paper towel to cool and they crisp up a bit so they crunch like potato chips. Best snack!
