Monday Motivation

Some days, it’s harder than others to stay motivated.
I came across this Reggie Leach quote in a years-old journal, from a period in college when I really needed all the motivation I could get.
“Success is not the result of spontaneous combustion; you must set yourself on fire.”
At the time I didn’t even know who Reggie Leach was but I was studying Chemistry and I liked any cultural reference that connected back to what I was studying – seeing spontaneous combustion in a quote was like hitting pay dirt.
I just googled Leach today and found he was a NHL Hall of Famer, but his words pushed me years ago when I was in college, and they’re doing it again today.
Just goes to show that sometimes you don’t need to know the background to get the wisdom of the experience.
You don’t have to know where the match comes from. Just accept the flame and set your success on fire!
