5 April things I am happy are behind me
- April was a tough moment in an existential crisis kind of way and I just need a new month, new feeling.
- The unpredictable weather that had me wearing a winter coat on April 26.
- Cold weather had me spending most of my time indoors, eating heavy meals. Warm weather outdoor means more salad, more fruits from the fruit carts. Yes!
- My bike hasn’t been outdoors yet all year. May is bike month so everyone will be riding soon.
- I started swimming lessons in March and April was the turning point for my swimming abilities. From this point forward, I am just focused on getting stronger and mastering the techniques.
– What was the best part of April for you?
– Anyone else learned to swim as an adult?
I come did triathlons for two of my four recent years as an athlete. When I started I was terrible. Witht the help of YouTube I tought myself proper swimming technique for distance swimming. While I am no longer engaged in triathlons, I still love getting some laps every week and when the weather picks up again, cannot wait to get some open water swim time in. While I am further south, I will be happy when spring weather stays permenantly. Here is to a better May.

I am looking forward to getting in a triathlon now too. Duathlons are still relatively few.

Envious book goal! I wish I had more time to read that wasn’t studying. Soon! Very soon!

You were wearing your winter coat longer than I was this year! Winter wasn’t that bad in Minnesota this year.

Yup. After a while, it felt like second skin. Thankfully, it’s warm now… So warm today, I have to focus on not complaining about the heat 😅
