Eating After Exercise

How long after a workout should you eat?

I try to get a mix of carbs and protein within a half hour of a run or gym workout. If I’m just playing around in the park, it might be longer but if I don’t refuel within a reasonable time, I feel lethargic and lightheaded, especially when it’s hot out.

  1. I usually eat a fruit a little before the workout for having a littl sugar in the blood, but not too much for fat burning :). I feel really bad if I run with a full belly!

      Yes. I have a pre-workout snack too, usually some light carb.
