99 Essential Weightloss Blog Posts is a compilation of entries from MariasLastDiet.com, arranged to guide a reader from making a decision to start a diet through what is required to keep off the weight once she’s lost it.
The ebook is short and arranged in three sections: Start; Stick To It; Keep It Off. If you’ve been reading about dieting for a while, much of the information might be familiar. But maybe it’s not meant to be read straight through – maybe it’s meant to be followed as a guide, some motivation that the weight loss journey is a process, a 99 step (or more) journey. The author, Kenneth Schwartz, alludes to this in the final pages where he says, “Self-help isn’t really self-help unless someone else is also helping you. We’d like to be that someone.”
As a guide, I think there could be more personal stories from the blogger, so the reader could share the experiences of the writers, not just read the wisdom the women got from it.
I loved the cover illustration and would probably have chosen this book in a bookstore just based on the cover alone.
I received this ebook from Netgalley.com in exchange for an honest review.
I agree that if its a guide there should definitely be personal stories in there!
