Run Colored Glasses sums up the perspective through which runners view the world.
When you wear Run Colored Glasses, you see hills as hill repeat opportunities, your spare time is divided by the number of runs you can fit in. When you wear Run Colored Glasses, you don’t sit at a desk and dream of the weekend; instead, you envision your weekend race or long run.
When you wear Run Colored Glasses, you balk at paying an extra few cents for gas to drive to work but you shell out hundreds of dollars per year for the opportunity to run races on the same streets you run for free every other day.
When you wear Run Colored Glasses, you gravitate towards anything neon-colored just because they match your running clothes.
When you wear Run Colored Glasses, your bookmarks are running blogs, Runners World magazine and a variety of sites that sell running gear.
When you wear Run Colored Glasses, food becomes fuel…
… pasta is for carb loading, clothes are neon, toe-box means something to you, you know whether you are are an under- or over-pronator, you know brands like Mizuno and Garmin and Oiselle, you know the correct pronunciation of Hoka One One and even if there’s no one behind you, you’re always chasing a PR. Any other activities you do get lumped into a category called cross training.
And every person you meet gets asked the same question: “Do you want to go for a run?”
Run Colored Glasses change the way we see things. Run Colored Glasses are available everywhere without prescription.
Do you wear Run Colored Glasses too?

Aw! So cute! I love this concept.
I definitely try to see the positives in the drudgery of running. I love calling it “run-colored glasses”.

Thanks, Jennifer. We have to look for the positives. Otherwise, we might never do it.

Well articulated. Great Blog!
Since I’m not wearing Run Colored Glasses, what is Hoka One one?

Hoka One One is a brand of running shoes. But even though it looks like it should be pronounced like the the number 1 and 1, it’s actually pronounced oh-nay oh-nay.
