On Sunday, I had a plan to head to the bookstore for my weekly dose of book-inspiration. On my way, I stumbled across this used book sale at 96th and Broadway
Then it was on to Barnes and Noble for the smell coming from opening new pages. I spent a little time skimming this book on the Wild Diet
I learned this tidbit from the book:
Natural sources of electrolytes
Potassium: lemons, strawberries, blueberries, blackberries
Sodium: bell peppers, lettuce, celery, radishes
Magnesium: spinach, radishes
Calcium: broccoli, celery, onions, apples
This was particularly interesting to me because I drink a lot of water but when I sweat, I am usually concerned about replacing the electrolytes. Sports drinks are marketed for that purpose and I grab them occasionally too, but I like knowing what I can do on a more consistent basis. Good stuff! I’ve added this book to my reading list.
On the bus, there was a man declaring his love for Liseth by having her name carved into the side of his head, and an awkward Cupid’s heart in the back.
And it’s not even Valentine’s Day. What’s he going to do to top this? A face tattoo?
Here, I’m laying the foundation for my Sunday dinner, before I piled on the chicken wings. Somehow, once the meat was on, the picture taking was forgotten. Regardless, Yummy!
I’m looking forward to the week ahead to get moving on those goals of mine. Goals don’t achieve themselves. We have to do it. And here’s a quote to get you started.

Thanks, Darcy. I had the quote saved on my phone for some time but somehow when I was going through my pics, it just echoed again.
