It’s Fall, my favorite time of year, and time to wear one of my favorite items of clothes – The Blazer. The love of the blazer is a legacy passed on to me by my mom. It could be 95 degrees in Jamaica, you can almost be sure you’ll find my mom in a blazer or jacket of some sort. So I can’t help it. It’s probably in my DNA. You don’t believe me? Here are some pics of my mom over the years in her infamous Blazer outfits:
So here’s what I’m wearing this week to continue the blazer legacy:
On Wednesday evenings, I go to church service so I’ll be wearing a fall-print dress and … You guessed it, a blazer! This is another dress I’ve had since last year and didn’t wear – it’s close fitting and last fall, it just didn’t fit well. This year, I’m finally at the size where I can rock it comfortably.
On Thursday, I have to attend a funeral for one of my church members and I’ll be on the program calls for a long black dress and black blazer. I bought this one out of season at Express and have been waiting for the weather to be cool enough to wear it.
Dress-down Friday calls for some casual kicks – jeans and sneaks, a printed top and one of my favorite fitted Blazers.
Saturday, I’ll be in uniform for a church event and surprise, surprise, my Masterguide uniform is an army green jacket suit. You’ve seen me wear it before but just a reminder.
On Sunday, I’m heading up north for a day trip and I think it’s the perfect day for my favorite fall jacket – this burnt orange number, with comfortable pants and these perfect gold flats from Avon, might I add! They have memory foam insoles that are perfect for walking! Check them out on the website here!
