Life happens… Or it does if you let it.
Instead of letting life just happen to you, you can plan it. You can be intentional about your experiences by strategizing them.
We often plan meetings but we are better served planning relationships.
We are accustomed to planning events but we can plan our everyday experiences.
We tend to plan the trivial – where we should be at 10:00, who’s going to sit next to whom at the wedding, who’s going to pick us up at the airport – but we can and should plan the big, more important things.
Plan the life you want. Plan the life you know you deserve. Plan the life you’ll be happy with at the end. Plan the life you’re proud of. Plan the life that includes the things that matter to you. Plan the life that makes you fulfilled. Plan a life that matters.
Life happens. But when you plan it, the life that happens, can be the life you want.
So true! Thanks for the reminder!

I love this. It’s SO true. I started my own stationery business last April… and it was kind of a part time… explore and see if I like it thing. Now, after months of hard work… and very very busy days (I still work almost full time somewhere else!) it is starting to pay off. It will still take lots of work and planning for a while, but I am so glad I am building it into my days. But this is true, I rarely built MYSELF into those days! I definitely needed to re-think how I approached my time. I did what I could Aug-Dec to straighten that out, and now this year, I can see that things are becoming more and more under control. Making an effort to plan my time and balance it. So I can have the life I want… LOVE. π XO -Alexandra

I love planning stuff but I think I can get a bit carried away sometimes. I think when you’re planning the bigger things you sometimes need to remember to plan in some flexibility too. Great positive post π
