I wasn’t a big fan of the movie myself but when I was much younger, it seemed like everyone around me watched a film called Sudden Impact starring Clint Eastwood. The most famous scene in the movie is where Eastwood’s character, Harry, stops a robbery in progress and has one of the criminals cornered, his gun trained on him. The robber is shielding himself with a hostage, a gun to her head, but Harry doesn’t bat a lash. He keeps the gun trained on the bad guy, letting him know he would like nothing better than to have a reason to pull the trigger. Go ahead, make my day, he says.
Well, this lady made my day for a totally different reason. Out of the blue, she wrote a blog post inspired by a list I made a few days ago, and she featured me and my book.
Go ahead. Visit her blog and show her some love. Wish her (a belated) Happy School Librarian Day. Go ahead and make her day too.
