Today is day 15 of the daily workout challenge that I started with my virtual running-buddy. It’s the end of the third week which is a huge milestone. If we were running every day instead of just every weekday, this would be the point where we would say we’ve started building a habit. It is starting to feel like that already but the key now is to keep going. The Memorial Day holiday is this weekend and as it’s considered the unofficial start of summer, it should get easier to get some outdoor exercise everyday. Warmer weather overall but also just more outdoor activities and more people wanting to join in.
To prepare for all that, today’s goal is to run / run-walk for 2 miles. Come back later for our updates and let me know in the comments if you’d like to join the challenge so I can add you to the daily tracker.
Runwright Update: I did it. 2 mile run this morning. And it was a faster pace than I have managed in a while. My legs are tired and my shins hurt a little from pounding the concrete everyday so I am looking forward to resting up for the next two days. I will try to incorporate a lot of walking this weekend though. I don’t want to lose all the momentum I’ve gained in the last few days.
