Today is day 18 of the daily workout challenge that I started with my virtual running-buddy. I’m not going to tell you that everything is going great but at least I’m sticking to the plan. We’re almost at the end of the first month of running and it doesn’t feel like I’ve made significant progress. It doesn’t help that it’s been raining most days for the past couple of weeks. Some mornings when I go out, my effort feels pointless, like I’m not getting stronger or faster but I know I have to continue if anything is going to change. So I just keep going, every morning, averaging at least a mile – in the middle of the week, I try to do closer to 2 miles. I am hoping that by next week, my runs will be averaging 2 miles with my long run approaching 3 miles.
The goal today was to run / run-walk for 1.5 miles.
I ran for 1.74 miles this morning
My running buddy is taking the day off because he worked a long shift and was up for over 24 hours yesterday.
