Nothing matters more than results

I read this on Seth Godin’s blog:

 “Nothing matters more than results”

Except for:

Community, contribution and what our friends think

The perception of quality

How much we like doing business with you

Side effects

and self-esteem.

Also… doing work that matters, with people we care about.

It seems like almost everything important matters more than results.

My word for the year is Accomplish and I haven’t been accomplishing as much I’d like and while it is tempting at crunch time to just think about results, I like how this post focuses on setting priorities.

I love this post! Unfortunately I grew up in a family, culture and society where the only thing that matter were results and that perspective can be very damaging to self-esteem and relationships.
