I bought 30 books in one day!
It’s not as crazy as it sounds. Well, it’s not as crazy as it could be. The thrift store was having a sale – 10 used books for $1 – so the 30 books only cost me $3.27 but there are other considerations. Like, where am I going to put 30 more books on my already buckling-under-the-weight bookshelves? And when am I going to read these 30 books. On average (although that depends on how we calculate the average and I won’t go full nerd on you about the difference between mean, median and mode), it takes me about 3 months to read 30 books. However, some of the titles that I collected are books I already read from the library so I don’t need to add them to my TBR list. Some of the books are even ones that I already own so when I bought these cheap copies, it was with the intention to give them away.
But the bottom line is that I bought 30 books in a single day and I am talking about it because it’s the most books I have ever acquired in a single shopping trip and I doubt that this kind of number will happen again anytime soon. Scratch that. I am fully prepared to meet or even exceed that number. Suppose the next time I stop by the thrift store, like if I return before the sale is over and they have new stock and I can find 40 or even 50 books, I will gladly fork over the $4 or $5 and deal with the space and TBR issues later.

Other than buying books, however, I am working on releasing a new book myself. Today, I am writing furiously and hoping this creative energy lasts long enough to produce a complete work so that I can share it with you soon. If you’d like to fuel my writing project, consider buying me a drink to sip while I write more
I mean you cant beat 30 books for three bucks. That’s reallllly good!
