September TBR

In September, I am trying another 30-in-30 challenge where I read 30 books during the month. Last month’s attempt was unsuccessful but based on how I did in the 2 weeks that I did read, I think I can do it better this time. So far, I’ve identified some books that I want to include in that number and those titles are listed below. Based on my progress, I’ll also include some titles from my unread shelf as the month goes on, perhaps the shortest books I can find if I really need to pad the numbers 😉

  1. Greed /Elfriede Jelinek
  2. Flights /Olga Tokarczuk
  3. Milkman /Anna Burns
  4. Schindler’s Ark /Thomas Keneally
  5. The Remains of the Day /Kazuo Ishiguro
  6. The English Patient /Michael Ondaatje
  7. History of The Rain /Niall Williams
  8. The Old Devils /Kingsley Amis
  9. The Bone People /Keri Hulme
  10. The Far Field /Madhuri Vijay
  11. Rites of Passage /William Golding
  12. Rites of Passage /Helmsley
  13. The Imperfectionists /Tom Rachmann
  14. Breakfast at Tiffany’s /Truman Capote
  15. The Word for World Is Forest /Ursula K. Le Guin
  16. The Warmth of Other Suns /Isabel Wilkerson
  17. The Watsons Go To Birmingham / Christopher Paul Curtis
  18. Happiness / Aminatta Forna
  19. A Place for Us / Fatima Farheen Mirza
  20. Miguel Street / V. S. Naipaul
  21. Holiday / Stanley Middleton
  22. Difficult Women /Roxane Gay
  23. The General In His Labyrinth /Gabriel Garcia Marquez
  24. Quichotte / Salman Rushdie
  25. Men and Gods / Rex Warner
  26. The Stationery Shop /Marjan Kamali
  27. The Stranger /Edward Camus
  28. Paddy Clarke Ha Ha Ha /Roddy Doyle

During the month, I’ll update this list so that a red highlight indicates that I have finished reading the book, with a link to my review if I have posted one.

Click to watch my video on Youtube and follow my channel as I’ll be sharing reading vlogs during the month there as well.

  1. 30 books in a month? That’s impressive. The most I’ve ever managed is 21!

Thanks for the comment, Bev. I’ve never read 30 books in a month either so I don’t know that I can actually do it so it will be interesting to see how much focus it requires and whether it actually happens. Stay tuned!
