What I Say about Eat Sleep Work Repeat

I’ve worked in several fields over the course of a twenty-something year career. Yeah, I know I don’t look it but I’ve been a teacher, a banker, an engineer and those are just my professional jobs. I’ve also worked in retail and done stints in academia and in the restaurant business at various times. And my work environments have been as different as the roles I performed. I’ve been in cloistered offices and open-concept work spaces, had autonomous jobs and overseer-type supervision. And I know enough to know that neither my productivity nor job satisfaction correlate with micromanagement. And I guess  neither does yours.
For all these reasons, Bruce Daisley’s book, Eat Sleep Work Repeat; 30 Hacks For Bringing Joy To Your job strikes a chord. Not only does Daisley write about the workplace in a way that makes me a little excited to return to the office, even if only to test out his hypotheses, but he also compiles scientific and psychological research from many other sources and give a blueprint for how to implement the new findings to make a better life.
